one session a week

One class, and a real skill.

Barista runs once a week, and it goes deep. You are on the machine, making real drinks, building toward something you can put on a resume.

Barista Class

Wednesdays, 10am to 1:30pm

Hands on the machine from the start. Grinding, dosing, pulling shots, steaming milk and pouring, with real drinks made every single week.

Where it can lead

a first step into hospitality

Some people do this for the fun of a good coffee. Others use it as a first step toward hospitality work, with a real skill and a reference behind them.

what you'll learn

What you'll actually pour.

The barista skills we work through, roughly in order. You will have hands on the machine every single week.

Espresso & the grinder

Grinding, dosing and tamping, then pulling a shot that actually tastes good. The foundation of the lot.

Milk steaming & texture

Stretching and texturing milk to that smooth microfoam. The bit that makes a flat white a flat white.

Latte art

Hearts, tulips and the odd rosetta. Wobbly at first, and weirdly satisfying once it clicks.

The whole menu

Flat whites, lattes, cappuccinos, long blacks. Knowing the difference and making each to order.

Cafe floor & service

Taking an order, working a till and chatting to customers. The people side of hospitality.

Clean-down & safety

Backflushing, wiping down and keeping a station clean. What every cafe expects, day in day out.

why people keep coming back

More than a good coffee.

You build a real skill

Making coffee well is a skill that travels. Cafes everywhere run the same machines you learn on here.

It can lead to work

For some people this is step one toward a hospitality job, with a reference and confidence to match.

You find your people

the questions we get most

Barista training questions, answered.

Do I need any coffee experience?

None at all. Most people start having never touched a machine. We begin with the basics and build up week by week, with a trainer right beside you.

Could this lead to a real job?

It can. Some participants use barista training as a first step into hospitality work, leaving with genuine skills, more confidence and a reference. There is no promise of a job, but the skills are the real thing.

Is the setup accessible?

Yes. The station is step-free and we can adapt the setup so everyone can grind, steam and pour. Tell us what helps when you call and we will have it ready.

What NDIS funding pays for it?

Often Capacity Building, as skill development toward independence or work. It can also sit under Core Supports for community participation. If you are not sure, we will look at your plan with you.

Can I try a session before I commit?

Yes. Come and pull a few shots, steam some milk, see if you enjoy it. No obligation, and you get a coffee out of it either way.
