Painting, printmaking, crafts and mixed media at our Ormond centre. Two sessions a week, open to every NDIS participant across Greater Melbourne, and nobody here is checking whether your tree looks like a tree.
The art side runs twice a week, and the two sessions have slightly different flavours. Pick whichever suits, or do both and call it your creative habit.
Painting, drawing, printing and a fair bit of pottering. This one runs slower and quieter, and you can bring your own project if you have one on the go.
Crafts, collage, mixed media and seasonal makes. A bit more hands-on and social, with a project to finish and something to take home at the end.
A rough idea of what turns up on the table. It changes with the season and with what the group is into.
Acrylics, watercolour, pencil and charcoal. Start on a blank page or trace something, no rules.
Lino, stencils and stamps. Great if you like a repeatable pattern and a satisfying press.
Paper, fabric, found bits and glue. Pull things apart and stick them back together your way.
Air-dry clay and simple modelling. Make a mug, a monster or something nobody can name.
Cards, decorations and gifts timed to whatever is coming up. Handy around birthdays.
Big shared pieces where everyone adds a bit. The ones that end up on our walls.
You do not need to be good at art, or to have done any since school. Turn up, have a crack, see what you enjoy. That is genuinely the whole entry requirement.

A finished piece, a card, a mug. Small wins you can hold, week after week.
Focus, fine motor skills and a bit of patience, built quietly while you have fun.
A shared table and a shared mess is a surprisingly easy way to get talking.
No. Most people who come have not painted since primary school. There is no standard to hit and nobody is judging your work. The point is the doing, not the result.
Nothing. We supply the paint, paper, aprons and everything else. Wear clothes you do not mind getting a bit of colour on, and bring a project of your own if you have one going.
Yes. The centre is step-free and we have adaptive tools and grips so everyone can take part. Tell us what helps when you call and we will have it ready.
Usually Core Supports, under assistance with social and community participation. Skill-building activities can sometimes sit under Capacity Building. If you are not sure, we will look at your plan with you.
Yes, and we would rather you did. Come and sit in on an Art Class or a Creative Workshop, have a go, meet a few people. No obligation and no pressure.
Give us a call and we will sort your days, or leave your details and we will call you. No commitment, and the kettle is always on.
