YAY Today started because disability support should put someone's goals, choices and actual needs at the centre of every decision. Four years on, we support participants across Greater Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula from our home base in Ormond.
We support participants with psychosocial disability, autism, intellectual disability and neurodivergence, alongside people who simply want more independence, more connection, or more confidence than they have right now.
What that looks like changes completely from person to person, which is why we start by asking rather than assuming. We work with participants, families, carers and support coordinators to understand routines, communication preferences and what good support actually means to that individual.
We are deliberately not a one-size-fits-all provider, and we would rather tell you honestly that we are not the right fit than take you on and do it badly.
They spell E.R.I.E., and they are not a poster in the hallway. They are how we decide who to hire, how we show up, and how we answer the phone.
We listen with compassion, seek to understand each person's journey, and support with kindness and patience.
We honour rights, choices, cultures and individuality. Everyone is valued, and everyone is heard.
Honesty, accountability and professionalism. We stand by our commitments, every time.
Everyone has the right to live on their own terms: informed choices, real confidence, meaningful goals.
A short film about who we are, why we started, and what we are trying to build. Straight from the team.

YAY Today acknowledges the Boonwurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work, and pays respect to Elders past and present.
Yes. We are registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, and our high-intensity supports are overseen by Authorised Program Officers.
Four years across Greater Melbourne, from our base at 437 North Road, Ormond.
We were recognised for elements of best practice during our most recent NDIS audit. We word that carefully rather than claiming a blanket accreditation, because the distinction matters.
We are director-led by Priscilla Maia, with a leadership team covering operations, compliance and service delivery. You can see who they are on the team page.
