you do not have to work it out alone

Assistance with the NDIS.

The NDIS is hard to navigate, and plenty of people get stuck long before they ever become anyone's client. If you need someone to listen, explain your options, or help you work out where to turn, we are here for that. No cost, no obligation.

what this actually looks like

Sometimes people just need someone to listen.

Not everyone who contacts us becomes a client, and that is completely fine. Around 15% of our work is given freely to the community, because people were getting stuck and nobody was helping them get unstuck.

That might be explaining what a plan actually covers, helping someone understand their rights, advocating when they are not being heard, or simply pointing them towards the service that suits them better than we would.

Understanding the NDIS

What your plan covers, what the jargon means, and what you can actually ask for.

Knowing your rights

Plenty of people are never told what they are entitled to. We will walk you through it.

Advocating for you

If you are not being heard, we can help you push for what you need.

Pointing you the right way

Even when the best fit is somewhere else, we will help you find it.

Nicole, Head of Operations at YAY Today
who you will be talking to

Nicole leads this side of things.

Our Head of Operations, Nicole, brings over 20 years across disability, employment and community services. She has seen how the system works and, more importantly, where it lets people down.

That experience matters when a situation is complicated, or when someone has been let down before and needs things handled with a bit of care.

Common questions

Do I have to become a client to get help?

No. A good chunk of what we do is pro bono, roughly 15% of our work. If you need someone to explain your options or point you in the right direction, just ask. There is no catch and no obligation.

What if the right support is not YAY Today?

Then we will tell you, and help you find who is. We would rather you end up somewhere that fits than sign up with us and be let down.

Can you help me understand my rights?

Yes. Plenty of people are not told what they are entitled to, or feel brushed off when they ask. We can walk you through your rights and help you push for what you need.

What sort of things can you help with?

Understanding a plan, working out what funding covers, knowing what to ask at a review, finding the right service, or just having someone listen when you are stuck.

no catch, no obligation

Get in touch and we will help where we can.

Whether you end up working with us or not, you are welcome to reach out. Sometimes a single conversation is all someone needs.
