Meet Elena, our dedicated Training Facilitator with over 3 years of experience. Elena will be running our art and hospitality class. Elena has a unique talent for developing customized programs for individuals with disabilities, drawing from her knowledge of basic child psychology. She believes in a holistic approach to care and incorporates treatments like sound healing, arts, and sports into her compassionate support. Elena holds qualifications in Sound Healing and Yoga instruction, and she is passionate about putting her expertise into practice at YAY Today. She sees YAY Today as the perfect place to integrate holistic treatments into the lives of those we serve, aligning perfectly with her belief in the power of these alternative therapies to enhance well-being. Zac F
Support and Administration Assistant
Zac having been around the disability sector his entire life, seeing his parents build wheelchairs, prosthetic limbs and more from as far back as he can remember. He has a Bachelor of Arts double majoring in Psychology and Maori Studies, and a Master of Arts with first class Honours in Defence and Security Studies. He has worked as an autism support worker, built wheelchairs in Tonga, and done academic research in the psychology field.
He brings his years of experience coaching sport and teaching at University to his varied role doing support work, administration, and classes.
Outside of work, Zac loves to play guitar in bands, play/coach tennis, skate terribly, and is most likely to be found eating somewhere in the CBD.
