At YAY Today, we believe home is more than a place to live — it’s where you feel safe, supported, and free to be yourself.
That’s why we offer Supported Independent Living (SIL): daily supports that help you live more independently in your own home.
Supported Independent Living (SIL) offers crucial assistance to individuals with disabilities, helping them live independently either in their own home or shared accommodation. SIL support can include help with personal care, household tasks like meal preparation, and supervision to ensure safety and well-being. The goal of SIL is to help participants develop essential life skills and gain greater independence, with support tailored to their individual needs. Depending on your situation, this support may be shared with others in the home or provided one-on-one.
As registered NDIS SIL assessors, our team is available to come to you for an assessment to determine your eligibility for SIL funding and ensure the best support plan for your needs.
Individual Living Options (ILO) offer flexible support and funding arrangements for NDIS participants to help them live in a way that suits their preferences. With ILO funding, participants can choose to live in shared housing, with a friend, or in a host family setting.
At Yay Today, we can provide ILO support by helping design housing solutions and offering the assistance needed for participants to live more independently. We take into account personal preferences, strengths, challenges, and the support networks available to create a tailored plan that promotes greater independence.
The NDIS provides ILO funding in two phases:
As registered NDIS ILO assessors, our team can visit you to conduct an assessment and determine your eligibility for ILO funding, ensuring the best plan for your living arrangements
Short-term and medium-term accommodation provide crucial support for individuals with significant functional impairments or complex needs. This type of accommodation is available for those who need temporary housing while waiting for more permanent living arrangements.
We understand that navigating the NDIA’s Housing Support information can feel overwhelming due to its complexity. Our team are highly knowledgeable in NDIS Housing Support guidelines and will guide you through the process. We will help clarify the requirements and support you through the assessment process to ensure your needs are met.
If you require housing support for SIL, ILO, or STA/MTA accommodation, contact our team to arrange an assessment tailored to your situation.
